The Boundary County Charlie Kirk vigil

 

On Sunday evening, a group of what is said to have been close to 1,000 people showed up with chairs and blankets in hand to celebrate the life of American conservative activist, author and founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk.

The candlelight vigil was put on by community members and the leadership of the local Turning Point USA chapter.

Amongst and around the crowd were a team of nearly 50 local and state law enforcement, local church security teams, community members and members of the Odinic Vanguard providing an almost 360° shield while attendees gave honor to a man that many never had the privilege of knowing but have deep belief in what he stood for.

A number of locals spoke fondly of Charlie Kirk and gave testimonies of their experiences regarding his work. The president of the local Turning Point USA, 17-year-old Taylor Dodd also spoke.

He spoke of his meeting with Charlie Kirk at a leadership conference and the effect his life and death has had on him. He spoke of the beliefs that Charlie had and advice that Charlie gave to him, “Without Christ, you have nothing and with Christ you have everything. Don’t get distracted by the temptations of the world that are meant to blind you from that reality.”
