This is a colorful and humorous “Calvin and Hobbes” comic strip by Bill Watterson.

In this comic, Calvin appears to have transformed himself into an elephant to help him finish his homework faster. Hobbes, his tiger companion, joins in and they decide to find a mud hole to play in. Along the way, they meet a girl who comments on how Calvin has changed. Calvin tries to impress her with a political joke comparing themselves to the “Republican Party and Tammany Hall,” but she doesn’t get it and walks away. Calvin dismisses it by saying, “Political humor is just too sophisticated for girls,” while Hobbes humorously adds, “Hmph. Her loss!”
